Porcellionides pruinosus - Powder Blues, Powder Blue Isopods, Powder Grays
Powder blues are super active and breed incredibly fast. Great cleanup crew for drier setups, but also a good beginner isopod.
They start out grayish, and then mature into purple and blue hues. Freshly molted isopods also have a "powdery" appearance. The common name may be misleading, since they mostly appear gray/purple/brown until bright light is reflected off their waxy coating.
Powder blues do not roll up into balls. They use their speed to run and hide when they feel threatened.
Size - Adults reach up to 1.2cm.
Difficulty - [0.5/5] - Great for people/children who have never kept pets before. Can breed in almost any setup with substrate and a source of moisture.
Special Care - No special care. These will breed in most conditions, but do best in a basic isopod setup.
Cultures are sent in mixed sizes (subadults, adults)
