Cristarmadillidium muricatum - muricatums, pineapple spikeys
Cristarmadillidium muricatum are light orange spikey isopods that are native to Spain. They are slow moving and are often found right on the surface of the substrate walking around or rolled up into a spikey little ball!
Muricatums are probably the easiest spikey isopod to keep.
Size - Adults reach up to 0.8cm.
Difficulty - [2/5] - Great beginner species. Good for novice keepers.
Special Care - No special care, but they seem to prefer moist soil. These will breed in most conditions, but do best in a basic isopod setup.Â
Cultures are sent in mixed sizes (subadults, adults)
