Setup Guide: Isopod Display Kit

Setting up your Isopod Display Kit
You finally got your Isopod Display Kit! It's time to set it up.

add Isopod Substrate Pro
First step, adding the substrate. Pour out enough substrate until you have a layer 1-2 inches deep. Deeper substrate holds moisture better.

add moss
Next, we add moss. Put in enough moss to cover 1/3 of the area. This creates a moist side for your isopods.

Have moss left over? Keep it! Isopods love to much on moss, and you'll need to top up your moss patch over time.

add leaves
Next, we add the leaves. Sprinkle enough dried leaves to cover the exposed substrate. This will serve as isopod food and shelter.

Set aside leftover leaves. You can add more leaves as your isopods munch away in the coming weeks!

add cork bark
Next, we decorate! Lay the bark across your terrarium. Make sure it goes across the moist and dry side. Your isopods will use this as a little hideaway for when they want to molt or be away from the moisture for a bit. Feel free to break up the bark into smaller pieces, or to add bark from elsewhere!

Isopod Release
The best part. Pull up your camera and drop the pods! 💕
